I have big plans this year on expanding
Argonaut Resins and producing
more projects and lose lots of sleep on exactly how I'm going to do that. I had planned to get the
Tuttz resin cat figure digitally scanned and make a computer CG file so I could scale it up to any size I wanted (it would be nice to have a 2 - 3 footer at the upcoming shows this year). To make a long story short - I ran into my good friend
Steve Talkowski (creator of the uber cool
SketchBot vinyl toy robot - CG grandmaster etraordinaire) at an art show and I had told him my plans of expansion.
Steve offered to rebuild the
Tuttz from scratch in CG so I wouldn't have to scan it and clean up the file to make my life easier. Of course I accepted his gracious offer as this would give me more time to work on
new stuff (and finish projects
other projects). I now have the ability to scale the
Tuttz resin cat up to ANY size I want and will do a post here soon on how the output was done after
Toy Fair this upcoming weekend. So now I have
Phase 2 of
Argonaut Resins under way starting with this little guy below -

Just a little teaser for the blind boxed Tuttz Mini's I have in progress. Series 1 (Edition size of 25) will start dropping next week and will include all sorts of colors and styles like clear tints, solids, metallics, jades, pearls, renders and GID's. Some of the Mini's will match the regular larger Tuttz figures that were released last year and earlier this year. Stay tuned for info on this all new Tuttz series. Blind boxing has just gone catty!
I love when collectors send me photos of their growing collections of Argonaut Resins goodies. It warms the heart to see all the different color ways from various releases together in combinations even I haven't seen. Thank you! (Please send more!!!)
I debuted the Pharaoh Hound rough sculpt at Toy Fair as part of my live sculpting demo of working in toy wax. He'll be a companion piece for the regular sized Tuttz figurine and stands at eight inches in height. There will also be a different third figure (?) to round out the line that will tie into a illustrated book based on Tuttz I'm developing with Robert Garrett (my indie publishing biz partner from Xmoor Studios). The hound will look a bit different when completed and I will post those images when he's done.

The last wave of the ToysRevil Exclusive Red Tuttz have arrived and are ready for launch!
