Part two to the Mariposa Butterfly project will be a horned Dragonfly figurine! I'm planning chase figure variants that will be included in each wave of the Mariposa release that also will come with removable wings that can be mixed and matched through the entire series. There will be several styles of these Dragonflies ranging for glow in the dark glittery clear tints to solid renders.

Mariposa Progress!
There are a lot of different colorways planned for the all new Mariposa ButterFly resin figurine so why not show a few? The colors featured below are all glow in the dark versions and have the detachable wings to mix and match with all the bodies.
From cute to scary!
BubbleGum WIP.
Somebody's a little nervous waiting for his wings.
I also had a photo shoot at the Hoboken park and pier to tease a few of the other color ways with photographer Deborah Montanez (https://www.facebook.com/debbiemon?fref=ts).

The Mariposa Resin Figurine!
Here's
one of the the three brand new figurines I'm working on this year. More
images of series one with pricing and release dates coming up.
The all new Mariposa Butterfly figurine from will come in many different colors and styles featuring solid colors to cleartint glittery glow in the dark pieces. It will be resin cast in two parts with removable plug in wings that can be swapped out for a another style or colorway to go with the bodies. There will also be a option to purchase various multi colored gem styled eyes that can be glued in place to enhance the look of the butterfly.
There is also a good chance of DIY all white blank versions to get produced for artists to paint up their own versions of this butterfly.

Mariposa Teaser!
Here is the first teaser to the all new Mariposa sculpt cast up in a glow in the dark translucent resin.
What's the story behind the inspiration on this new project?
One day last summer I watched a friend of a friend see Fireflies for the first time at a park in my home town and she fell in love with them. They floated in the air like butterflies as they lit up and she looked like she was in Heaven as she ran around chasing them. Seeing that scene burned a image in my brain and it stayed in my head until I sat down finished the sculpture for the project many months later. The name Mariposa is the Spanish translation of Butterfly and I chose this name because I mixed the FireFly with a Butterfly for this concept.

Mariposa!
The next all new project underway here at Argonaut Resins is called Mariposa and the resin cast images of the prototype and color styles will be forth coming.
This will be the last release under the Argonaut Resins banner as the company transitions to Tuttz World brand. I will no longer be producing resins for other artists (which was the main purpose for creating Argonaut Resins) as I will be focusing more on new concepts found in the Tuttz World. The last time the Argonaut Resins banner will fly will be at the New York Comic Con in October of this year. It was a great run but it is time to move on.
Thank you all very much for supporting the Argonaut Resins brand these eight years and I hope you will continue to support my newer works in the coming future. It was a awesome great journey and I'm glad you were all able to take it with me and I hope the future will be even bigger, brighter and better. The first figurine for the the Tuttz World launch is nearing completion and I will post all links to that new endeavor soon.
